DANIELLE BEATON
Executive Director

Danielle is a co-founder of The Tween Esteem Project. 

After working as a television news producer in the #1 market, Danielle dedicated her career to mission-based organizations that align with her personal values. Since 2006, she has grown as a senior communications leader at respected nonprofits, including New York Blood Center; Hillel International, the world’s largest Jewish campus organization; Central Synagogue, one of the largest Reform Jewish congregations in the world; and the national office of the YMCA, serving 10,000 communities with branches in 119 countries. Through the YMCA, Danielle has earned Organizational Leader and Global Leader certifications and receives recurring training in child safety, cultural competency, and undoing racism. She has worked directly with youth experiencing extreme poverty and supported many national youth development initiatives.

Danielle earned her bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Hartford and a Leadership Certificate from Northwestern University. A strong proponent of using humor as a coping mechanism, Danielle is a graduate of The Second City’s world-renowned Improv Program and a viral Tik Tok creator.

She is raising two teenagers on Chicago’s northside with her husband, Josh.
